Segue is the most cost-effective Option
|
"We know that career path presenters from the community can inspire and motivate our students to achieve more academically. The question is how to do it cost-effectively and with respect to the classroom teachers' existing commitments. The Segue Program provides an excellent solution." Dr. Charles Weis, Superintendent, Ventura County Schools
The graph below compares Segue performance with approaches to increasing student knowledge of career options, career days and job shadowing. NOTES: Student Career Exposure (SCE) = One exposure to one career option for one student. Segue Program = 1,000 students per year exposed to 10 career options (1,000 x 10 = 10,000 SCEs) Career Day = 200 students per year exposed to five career options (200 x 5 = 1,000 SCEs) Job Shadowing = 100 students per year exposed to one career option (100 x 1 = 100 SCEs) |
